Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement was one of several elected officials deployed across the country last week in an effort to bolster support for a potential free trade agreement with the European Union. Clement arrived at Langford Canoe in Dwight on Friday, Nov. 16, to promote the proposed bilateral agreement and espouse the benefits of the deal for businesses such as Langford. “Many MPs and cabinet ministers are fanning out across the nation and we’re highlighting iconic made-in-Canada brands, things that we as Canadians are very much proud of,” said Clement. “These products have a lot of high demand around the world, particularly in the European Union.”
